Duties/Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the M&E Consultant and the Programme Officer , the National M&E Officer will be responsible for the following tasks either continuous or depend on request/demands throughout the assignment period:
- Provide technical support to the Ministry of Health (MoH) and WFP to develop studies (i.e. baseline and follow up assessments on programme impact) and disseminate information;
- Set up a programme related database, develop user manual and guidelines;
- Provide training and technical guidance to WFP staff and government counterpart in strengthening the skills in planning, data analysis, reporting, use and dissemination of data;
- Support and provide technical assistance to MoH and WFP in programme monitoring and evaluation; develop plans for monitoring, develop monitoring tools, streamline results-based reporting;
- Coordinate and strengthen monitoring plan and actual visits to pinpoint hot-spot areas that require follow-up solution;
- Conduct other tasks as may be required and requested by the organization as well as government counterparts.
Qualifications:
University degree on Statistics or Development Studies;
Required experience:
At least one year of postgraduate professional experience in Statistics or Development Studies.
Knowledge and experiences of research design and follow up; Knowledge of Nutrition statistics and experience in the use of relational data bases; Knowledge and experience in systems development, relational database design, computer programming, database administration, and operational management; Experience in training and capacity building within a relevant field M&E/databases/statistics/data analysis); Communication skills in a multicultural environment; Experience in database system design, development and implementation would be advantageous; Fluency in both oral and written English and knowledge of local languages. Basic knowledge of Portuguese and Bahasa Indonesian will be an advantage. Experience utilizing computers, proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office and training skills.
