Position                                 : National Field Implementation Coordinator

Employment type               : Project Staff

Report to                              : Country Coordinator

Contract Duration               : March 2012 – August 2013

 

Description:

 

Under the guidance and supervision of the Country Coordinator, the Field Implementation Coordinator will be responsible for:

 

  • Development of team work plans and supervising the development and implementation of individual work programs of project officers and field officers;
  • Coordinating with the Design and Development team as well as the M&E team through the Education Specialists and the M&E and Research Specialists to ensure that the field implementation tasks are aligned with the requirements of the project;
  • Coordinating the deployment of field staff in each of the field offices;
  • Ensuring that the programmatic requirements of field staff are made available as needed;
  • Collaborate with Operations Officer to ensure that logistical requirements are ready and made available as needed; and
  • Collaborate with Communications and Liaison Officer to provide support to documentation of activities and in advocacy activities;

 

 

This position requires extensive travel through district locations. The successful candidate is expected to spend up to 80% of the time in the field, often in basic conditions. The successful candidate is expected to commence work immediately.

 

Qualifications:

 

Undergraduate degree (minimum advanced university student) with previous experience of at least two years as field staff preferably supervising other field staff with large NGOs or international companies operating in Timor Leste.

Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with extensive knowledge of local conditions in Timor Leste. The candidate must be fluent in Tetun with advanced English skills.
