St John of God Healthcare (SJGHC) supports the Ministry of Health programs in Timor Leste through it’s National Nursing Development Program, National Pathology Development Program and a Community Health Program (Bakhita Centre Clinic, Ermera).

 Due to a growing staff, SJGHC seeks a person experienced in office and financial administration to work with the Administration and Finance Officer.

 Duties include:

§         Assist the Administration and Finance Officer with the administration of all functions of all development programs being conducted in Timor Leste by SJGHC including but not limited to:

Organisation, documenting and recording minutes of meetings

Maintaining a good document control and filing system

Maintaining financial accounts and performing banking tasks, including oversight of funding allocations and financial reconciliation for all funds transferred to accounts in Timor Leste

Arranging for payment of accounts

Arranging for staff and vehicle travel within Timor Leste and where necessary international travel originating from Timor

Arranging for documentation in  compliance the relevant Timor government Ministries requirements 

Organising customs clearance where necessary for items being imported to Timor

Arranging for document compliance for Department of Transport, including vehicle registrations and staffs drivers licence

Assisting with the processing of visa documentation

Assisting with arranging accommodation requirements for visiting and permanent SJGHC staff

§         Other appropriate tasks as directed by the Timor Leste Country Manager, Group Manager International Health, Administration and Finance Officer or their delegates

 Key Selection Criteria:

ESSENTIAL

·          Previous experience working in administration and finance

·          Excellent oral Tetun and Bahasa Indonesian

·          Excellent oral and written English

·          Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·          Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative

·          Possess a Timorese motor cycle or vehicle driver’s licence

·          A commitment to and an understanding of the Vision, Mission and Philosophy of SJGHC

DESIRABLE

·          An undergraduate Degree or Diploma
